Spotlight On NPC Womens Physique Competitor: Victoria Betolatti

Category you compBackposete in: Women’s Physique

Date of birth: April 9th, 1991

Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia

Career: Real Estate Agent

How does your family respond to your competing?

They are so supportive! I first competed when I was 15 in Teen Figure – but I took a little break and then came back to the sport in 2013 to compete in Bikini. They were super supportive of my decision to compete again and even came up to NYC (where I had my first show) to cheer me on. When I decided I wanted to take time off and do Women’s Physique the following year, they supported my decision to follow my dreams and have enjoyed watching my transformation.

What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term?

Short term, I just really want to be on point for my Women’s Physique debut.

But long term, I hope to some day be competing on the IFBB stage, mentoring young woman and making a difference in the fitness world. It’s a tough sport and I really don’t think a lot of people understand what they’re getting into when they decide they want to compete in the bodybuilding industry. It can tear you apart and some girls aren’t ready for that.

What's currently on your iPod?

Anything from Rob Bailey and The Hustle Standard, Eminem, Lana Del Ray, Lorde and sometimes I just play Pandora Radio.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?

Outside of bodybuilding, I’m a real estate agent and work for Keller Williams! Also, I’m a figure skating coach and conditioning coach to young girls.

Do you have a favorite exercise?MetsBikiniFront

Hmm, tough question. I think if I had to pick one favorite exercise for each body part it’d be:

Barbell Squats for Legs

Deadlifts for back

Side Lateral Raises for shoulders

DB flat bench for chest

21’s for biceps

Rope Overhead extensions for triceps

And OVERALL favorite, Probably a deep, deep squat.

Competition history:

2006 Mid Florida Classic 1st Place - Teen Figure Class A

2006 Debbie Kruck Classic 5th out of 6 - Figure Open Class A

2013 NPC Metropolitans – 7th out of 18 - Bikini Open Class A

2013 Atlantic States – 9th out of 25 - Bikini Open Class A

Next competition:

I’ll be competing again in July at the 2014 NPC Georgia – Womens Physique Class A

Favorite Fitness Tip: Don’t give up! Sounds simple but it’s not. There are so many times where I want to just throw in the towel and never workout a day in my life again. The gym tears your muscle down, physically, but it can tear your ego down, mentally. Whenever I am feeling defeated, I think of how far my body has come in just over a year and I remember how excited I was the first time I was able to shoulder press 20s….So, if I’m having a hard time with the 40s, I remember that I’m still better than yesterday.

Who would you like to thank?

I would like to thank my family for being supportive of my goals whether it’s bikini, physique, figure skating or real estate. They’ve had my back no matter what.

I also would like to give a huge thank you to my Fiancée, Rob, who also is a bodybuilder and has taught me everything I know. Without him, I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today, physically and mentally. He’s taught me to lift with heart and to never give up on my dreams no matter how long it may take.

I’d like to throbtorishowank my clothing sponsor, Flex It Pink, for supporting me in my whole off season journey from Bikini to Physique and cheering me on while I prep for my first Women’s Physique show. You ladies always make me smile!

And last but not least, I’d like to thank all my Instagram followers and friends. They have been watching my whole journey from day one and always have my back. Without the support of all my IG ladies, I wouldn’t have the motivation to improve daily. They keep me grounded and on top of my game.
