What is your favorite childhood memory? My favorite childhood memory would be catching bees, dragonflies, crawfish, and minnows in the neighborhood ditches. I was a weeeeird country kid! lol

Name a song that motivates you. Nicki Minaj…”Moment for Life”…I love how fearless she is. This song inspires me to go HARD in the gym.

What is your biggest gym pet peeve? Guys that watch me for long periods of time then try to make small talk while im working out. IM WORKING OUT!!!! lol

How do you like to reward yourself? I reward myself with molten chocolate cake from Grand Lux Café. The beeeest!

If you could change one things about the world what would it be? I would change the way women are viewed in today’s society. We’re equal! Women are just as important as men. I don’t think of myself as a gift to man, or “man’s helper”, but as an equal partner.anty L 035

What do you do right before you step onstage? I quiet my thoughts and meditate before stepping on stage. This helps to keep me calm and not so nervous. I’m usually reeeeally nervous backstage, but I get it together right before I step out.

Nook, Book or Kindle? Books and magazines. You can always find me with a magazine. They help me to get through those long cardio sessions.

Competition history:

My first show was in October 2010 NPC Texas Championship in Stafford, TX. I placed 4th.

Second show, June 2011 Branch Warren Classics in Spring, TX..2nd place…this one qualified me for NPC Nationals.

And, the third show was Nationals. I placed 2nd.

Next competition:

I’m not sure of my next show just yet. I’ll know once the new year hits.

If someone followed you for the day what would they be most surprised about? I’m sooo far from the made up, glam, bikini girl that gets on stage. I’m a tomboy at heart. My hair is always in two braids and I rarely ever wear high heels or jewelry. I try to avoid them as much as possible lol. I’m usually walking around in Vibram Toe shoes all day.

They would also be surprised at just how busy my days are. I’m a mother to a beautiful 4 year old little girl , I’m a personal trainer, a photographer for my boyfriend’s film company, and a bartender on the weekends. Not to mention the time I have to spend, daily, working out myself. BUSY BUSY BUSY! I’m exhausted at night but I love to stay busy!

anty L 2101What is your preferred tanning product and why? For competitions I use Pro Tan. So far, their products work the best on my skin.

Favorite Quote: “If you want something different, you have to do something different.”

Who would you like to thank?

I would like to thank my #1 fan and my better half, my boyfriend Michael Artis. He’s not too into the fitness competition world, but he’s always at the shows cheering me on.

Also, my competition coaches Trish Johnson and Gale Elie. Trish has been helping me since my second competition. She’s amazing and so knowledgeable. Gale just started working with me for Nationals. She has given me a lot of knowledge on competing as well.
