Men's Squat and Co-ed Challenge
Both men and women will follow the rules of the event with a professional and polite demeanor. Anyone not following this simple rule will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the head judge.
For the squat, men will use a 45lb bar, 8 - 45lb plates and simple clip style collars equaling 405lbs.
For women, each contestant will be weighed prior to the start of the Co-ed event. If a contestant weighs more than 2lbs over a 5lb increment, that contestants bodyweight will be registered at the 5lb heavier mark. 2Lbs or less, the converse is true. However, each female competitor will lift 80% of their bodyweight. This weight will be calculated by the head judge using a standard variation formula.

If a contestant weighs more than 2lbs over a 5lb increment, that contestants bodyweight will be registered at the 5lb heavier mark. 2Lbs or less, the converse is true. However, each male competitor will lift 100% of their bodyweight. This weight will be calculated by the head judge using a standard variation formula.
Example: Suzie weighs 122lbs, her weight is recorded as 120. She will squat 40% of 120lbs in competition. If Steven is 133lbs, his weight will be recorded as 135lbs and he will lift that weight. However, the lightest weight lifted by any woman will be 45lbs, the weight of the bar.
No lifting suits. Footwear at the discretion of the athlete. Knee wraps and lifting belt are accepted.
The athletes quad must make it to or below parallel with the floor on each repetition. Failure to do so will result in a non counted repetition.
Lock out: The athlete does not need to pause, but hips must come forward, knees straighten and shoulders must be back. No time limit as long as the athlete has the bar on their back and out of the rack.
In the event of a tie, each athlete will compete at in a “lift off” with a weight to be determined.
Co-ed Curl Challenge
