Inspiration: Today is the Day!



Ever since I was a young kid I have always had instilled in me that what we do today in the present moment is what truly matters and I couldn’t be more thankful for learning this practice from early on, it truly has made all the difference in my life.

I still can remember the car rides to pre-school with my Mom and us saying together that “Today is the day…” or all the talks with my Dad on delayed gratification on working right now towards a future goal. These concepts really took a hold of me and are still things that I remember and practice to this day; I say practice because it is an on-going effort and something that must be constantly implemented to master. Far too many people seem to have a preconceived notion that things must happen right now or they should be given up for another goal, but honestly that couldn’t be further from the truth! That which is important enough for us to start is not only important to finish, but also to carry on! That really is the secret to success in whatever we venture upon, working hard, staying positive, and NOT stopping! We really must learn to implement our daily strategies for our long-term success without ceasing!

How does this apply to the Fitness Industry, well completely and totally! A great physique, high fitness level, personal brand, image, etc. is not built in weeks or months, but rather over years of continual effort and daily practice! Remember that you will never get to where you are going by stopping and you certainly will not catch up to those that are ahead of you by taking a break or changing your goal halfway through. This is why it is so crucial to make sure that what you set out to start is really what you want and not something that simply came to you in a moment! If it came in a moment, it can also be lost in a moment! 

Remember that life is the sum of many efforts and those efforts lie in our daily practice, what we do today, right now is what truly matters the most!
