Joining us today is MP Competitor Ronnie Cline. Congrats on a great showing! What made you decide to compete in the Men’s Physique Division?
Thanks. I’m a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and constantly ask my class and clients to set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realist, and Timely) goals and realized one day that I didn’t have any, so I set this contest as a goal.
Can you tell us a little about the Competition you just competed in?
I competed in NPC Midwest Championship in the Men’s Masters Physique. The classes are broken down by height. I was in the “A” class which was 5’10” and under. The next class was called “B” and was 5’10 and over.
How did you feel after pre-judging?
This was my 1st competition, so I was really nervous. All of the competitors were in such good shape, I was just hoping I would get a call out.
How did you feel about the final results of the show?
To be honest every time the announcer called out a number to come out for placement I would double check my number to make sure it wasn’t me. It was a great feeling to be the last man standing.
What are your thoughts on the Men's Physique Division and what it may be able to do for your career?
Love it. I believe the standards are still being developed on what they are looking for, but once we get a baseline established I believe this division will be huge for Bodybuilding.
