My parents always told me that there is NEVER a reason to hit a woman. Unfortunately, IFBB Pro Daniel Hill apparently was never taught this lesson. Two weeks ago, Dan and his then-fiance, Nikki Jackson, were attending FIBO in Essen, Germany when Dan surprisingly punched Nikki in the face, knocking her out cold.
Before I get into the events leading up to the actual knockout blow, let me first recount the series of events that led to me getting the facts of the incident. When I first heard about this story, I knew I had to research the facts and do my due diligence before writing the article. I began by first calling some of my German friends. I contacted a few IFBB Pros that I knew were in attendance at the FIBO Expo. Several of them didn't know about the altercation but, when I spoke to IFBB Pro Dennis James, I hit pay dirt. We spoke for a while and he verified that the story was true. Dennis told me straight out, "That faggot Dan Hill punched that girl in the face!" Dennis's direct quote for the story was enough to keep me moving forward researching the story.
I thought I should go directly to the source for the story so I tried contacting Dan Hill himself. Dan told me that the story was made up and, if I wrote anything about him, I would be hearing from his lawyers. Looking into the story further, I went to Nikki's Facebook page and found the name Murat Sariatli. Murat is Dan Hill's longtime best friend and was once his contest prep coach. He actually witnessed the attack at the Expo and sent me his account of the events that day. Please understand that English is not Murat's first language and this was a direct quote from how he sent it to me:
"Nikki booked her ticket to fly back to Vegas and she has a time zone for 4 hours. She said me before the fly is gone so she was in time stress on rush hour. Enrico the webmaster, me and Nikki were waiting to Daniel in the hall 3 on the pizza place/station and eat some pieces of pizza. After a few minutes of wait, he comes in with a dark, angry skin and face to us and he was also stressed like Nikki and all of us but he was not smooth and chill any more. I ask him, "you like also pizza Dan? It's better for you, eat a little bit and calms down". He said yes, please. OK, I am buying pizza for him and starts to eat like an animal. Wow! I never saw Daniel to eat pizza like this! He crunched the piece in his hand and puts this in his mouth and then his eyes was then completely open, like a mad look and then he cries and goes directly to attack Nikki! He transforms into the Hulk and has no control anymore about his feelings and mine and give attention now!!! Give a right straight fist punch..in her FACE!!! Boom..and she fells down and was KO...blood is coming from Nikki's mouth and the teeth are not tight enough anymore in her mouth. She has much pain on the jaw and she also can't hear so good anymore!!"
Murat went on to tell me that Nikki and Dan were arguing almost the whole weekend. It just so happens that a fan at the Expo actually caught one such argument on video. You can hear Nikki saying, "Fuck him...fuck him.."
I also spoke with Dan's webmaster, Enrico Seidler, about the events that day and he verified everything that Murat had told me. As I was collecting all this info, the German website Body-Xtreme, released it's own column detailing the events at FIBO. I requested the translated version of the story be sent to me and I was surprised to see that Dan Hill responded much differently to the German website than he did to me. The website quotes Dan as saying, "This so called incident is overdone and dramatized. Melissa and I are still happy together. We are currently back from a UK Tour and will keep living our lives happily." (Melissa is Nikki's real name. Nikki Jackson is her porn stage name)
Surprisingly, in the German website quote, Dan wasn't denying the punch never happened. Instead, he was saying that the incident was just "overdone" and "dramatized".
Finally, I decided to contact Nikki about what happened. The only method I had of contacting her was through Facebook as she said she had no time to talk on the phone. When I asked her when we could talk, she said "Monday or Tuesday of next week works best for me...I am working the next few days and my birthday is this weekend. Therefore, plans have already been made." I was shocked! Here I was telling her that I would be writing a potentially career damaging article about her fiance and she didn't have a few minutes to spend to set me straight. She did tell me that Dan never hit her, however. When I pushed her to get 2 minutes on the phone, she said, "I'm working and you're lucky that I even have taken the time to respond to your Facebook email."
I couldn't believe her reaction! When I asked around, I was told that Dan has Nikki's Facebook password so it's more than likely that I could have been having a conversation with Dan and not Nikki the whole time!
As a last ditch attempt to get someone to give me another side of the story, I decided to call his friend Quincy Taylor. I thought Quincy might be able to provide me with a positive character witness in favor of Dan Hill. That's why I was shocked when Quincy quickly corrected me by telling me that "Dan is NOT my friend!" QT actually didn't have one positive word to share with me about Dan. When I asked him if he could see Dan hitting a woman, he replied, "I spent two long ass weeks with Dan in Germany and he had nothing good to say about women in general. He has no respect for them. He thinks they are less than men. Yeah, I could definitely see Daniel punching one if she upset him enough."
No matter how crazy Nikki was acting or how loud and obnoxious she might have been, there is really no excuse for a 280 pound bodybuilder like Dan Hill to hit her. I sincerely hope Nikki is OK after this incident. If that was really Nikki that I was exchanging messages with on Facebook, I hope she gets with the program and realizes that anyone who hits her once will most likely do it over and over again.
