With a full-on rush to claim the NY Pro title vacated by Juliana Malacarne, the epic battle narrowed to New Yorker Michelle Cummings making her first return to the stage since the 2013 Tampa Pro where she placed ninth as a bodybuilder.
If you're a fan of underdogs in the sports world, then you have to love Candrea Judd Adams' victory at the Spartan Pro Physique contest held at the Scottish Rite Event Center in San Diego on May 2nd, 2015. On this day she hit paydirt winning in a field of 11 competitors from eight states. Like others who aspire to be the best, her story is not one of an overnight success, far from it.
Promoters Ed and Betty Pariso, along with Scott Templeton, tossed up another of their great weekend events - billed as the Europa Games & Sports Expo - at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The pro Women's Physique Division responded with a contingent of 25 contestants vying to punch their ticket to Las Vegas in September.
It has only been a month since Physique Olympia champion Juliana Malacarne notched her name as the first winner of the Physique International at the Arnold Classic, but the real competitive rush to qualify for this year's Physique Olympia began in earnest at Jack and Ann Titone's St. Louis Pro on April 4th at the St. Charles Convention Center. A total of 23 contestants from 15 states and 3 foreign countries jumped at the chance to etch their name as the first Physique Olympia qualifier in the 2015 season.
The world of sports in the good old US of A has produced thousands of outstanding athletics in a huge variety of endeavors that highlight each competitor's physical gifts. And a more finite group can lay claim to having reached the pinnacle of their chosen sport. Whether it's the Olympic Games, a Super Bowl, or yes, even the winner of an Olympia crown in Bodybuilding, ascending to the highest level can be a long, difficult journey.
A precious few, however, have possessed the ability to transition from one difficult regimen and become the best in the world in another.
Enter Charlotte Yarbrough.
While it remains to be 
seen if the inaugural Ferrigno Legacy competition will become a traditional affair, there is no denying Lou Ferrigno, his son Lou Jr., Chris Minnes and World Gym did their level best to put on a first class event and make a strong, positive impression for the competitors and fans on the November 28-29 Thanksgiving weekend.

e NPC National Championships Women's Physique division once again provided the top two finishers in each of the four height classes an opportunity to join the ranks of the IFBB pro division as a robust field of 52 contestants gathered at the James L. Knight Center in Miami to take part in the huge weekend flexfest on November 21-22.
