The IFBB Europa Atlantic City Pro is rapidly approaching. This first year event that will replace the Hartford Europa Pro …and is being held at the Atlantic City Convention center on August 28th and 29th. Promoters Ed and Betty Pariso have created a tour de force with their 4 power packed Europa events… taking place in Dallas, Orlando, Phoenix and now Atlantic City. In an effort to support this brand new event, Rx Muscle was planning to mobilize the troops down to America’s Favorite Playground to cover this final pro contest pre-Olympia…. But when the press pass requests were sent… this was the reply I received from Betty Pariso (quote)… “We now own our media content and we want to drive all traffic to our own social sites. Therefore, at this time we are not granting press passes.” When asked where this media content will be available for fans and athletes to see, the Pariso’s declined to comment or respond to my emails. In this age of “cutting back” and lack of excitement in bodybuilding, it behooves me to understand why a promoter of a first year contest would restrict the press.
The IFBB Golden State Pro is slated for this coming weekend in Sacramento, California. And Last minute entrant Cedric McMillan certainly has to be considered the favorite. The California fans are certain to get a real treat this weekend as McMillan looks for his first win of the calendar year.
Ty Ropeman Felder is holding his IFBB Coastal USA down in Duluth, Georgia, and he’s serving up a Mens Physique and Bikini pro event that will yield 2 key Olympia qualification spots.
And finally Dwayne McDaniels NPC New Jersey State is set for this Saturday in Union, NJ. And the BK Beast Akim Williams will be in the house guest posing. If you’re in the new York-NJ tristate area, be sure to stop down to this incredible event.
