Michael Burke
Third-year competitor at the Arnold Classic
I began training for strongman and weightlifting in general in at the beginning of 2010. I got into the sport when I ran into a group of guys after joining a gym in my neighborhood. I am still really new to this sport. I met Brian Shaw at the end of 2010 and have been training with him ever since.
Brian Shaw
Fifth Arnold Classic appearance (2011 champion). Current Worlds Strongest Man
I like competing in strongman because it is the best test of overall body strength that there is. It is great to be able to test my strength against the strongest men in the world.

RxMuscle welcomes American Strongman Corporations newest professional strongman, Vince Urbank. Contributor Robert Racine had a chat with Vince about his training and latest competition.
I had the pleasure to interview one of the newest additions to the American Strongman Corporation ranks, the Professional arm of the North American Strongman organization. I have seen this gentleman compete several times and one word sums him up...INTENSE.
"Why Strongman? Because I was that fat kid with the comic books that wanted to be the Hulk or Captain America."
"... If I can motivate or inspire other moms out there, that makes me happy and being a personal trainer gives me the opportunity to help others achieve their goals."
"...so when my friend challenged me to try strongman and told me no one ever comes back the second week i sucked it and pushed through the workout and have been back every week since."
