Al Siegel, the foremost inspiration behind the RAW powerlifting concept as well as ADFPA, AAU and ADAU president and chairman has passed away at his home in Clearfield, PA. As a world champion powerlifter, he saw in the youth coming into the sport what he felt was truly the future. As the founder of ADAU, he sought an even and fair playing field for lifters of all ages. Aside from the countless lives he touched, he is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, his eldest son, Hal, his youngest son, Jay, and granddaughter Eva. Our most sincere condolances to Al's family and close friends.
