How does your family respond to your competing? They are very supportive! They may not understand all the aspects of what it takes to prep for a show, or the training or diet, but I am so blessed to have them be behind me 100%. They know when I need some time to myself and when I may need some encouragement. As the old saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child”, I believe it takes about the same to get ready for the stage. :)
What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term? Short term goals- In the spring of next year, I will compete for the first time in Physique, with the goal of qualifying to compete in USAs in 2014. I also have a goal of earning my pro card in Physique, and to also qualify to compete in the Olympia with the goal of Ms. O one day. :)
What's currently on your iPod? I don’t have an iPod, but I have an eclectic taste in music and enjoy rock from the 50s, 60s, 70s and some 80s as well as some multi genre hits here and there and some current rock and pop.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world? I love horses and showed horses when I was younger. I also love to cook and bake for friends and get togethers! I love movies and enjoy sci fi, comedy and action the most! I also enjoy painting and drawing as well as knitting! Crafts or projects that have room for creative expression are something I truly enjoy.
Do you have a favorite exercise? It is difficult to choose just one! I’d say squats, because it’s a wonderful exercise that can be modified in many different ways to work your legs at different angles. Easy? I think you know the answer to that question. *winkwink* Effective? OH YES!

Favorite Fitness Tip: Always be prepared and bring a meal with you, or a protein bar or shaker and ziplock baggie of protein powder when you’re out and about! You never know when life will keep you away from your food!
Who would you like to thank? I would like to thank God first. Many times I know I couldn’t have done what I have done without him. I would also like to thank my best friend, fiancé and trainer, Scott Canatsey. He is truly a blessing in my life. While having him in a dual role of trainer and fiancé has proved to be a challenge for us both at times, I love him for putting up with me during times I’ve been less than easy or motivated to train and knowing just how to encourage or motivate me during training and dieting. You are the peanut butter to my chocolate, hunny! <3 :) I would also like to thank my family for their support and my friends and clients for their understanding when I need to hermit myself away. Also, thanks to Chris and Terry at Sports Therapy Inc, for helping me through numerous injuries(shoulder, wrist, knee…lol) during the past 8 months. I actually listened AND put into practice what you suggested to do when I wasn’t in your office and it made a big difference. ;)
