I just got back from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Tuesday Night SMACKDOWN at the Nassau Coliseum here in Long Island, New York. I've been to at least 10 of these events, already, and I'm still amazed by the incredible spectacle that that the WWE is able to assemble on a bi-weekly basis. Monday Night Raw and Tuesday

Night Smackdown are weekly stables on cable television but to witness it, first hand, in person, 5 rows back from the sweat, blood, and hand-to-hand combat is just something else. Now, I know what some of you may be thinking. You're about to tell me that all that wrestling stuff is fake; that it's all an act. Well you might be right to a certain degree, but as my good friend WWE Superstar Triple H once asked me, "What's better; knowing you're gonna get hit or not knowing?" After considering the options, I realized the wisdom of what he was asking me. WWE wrestlers are among the greatest athletes in the sports world because they need to be able to move like NFL running backs, deliver lines like well-versed actors, and fall to the ground like Hollywood stunt men. I don't know many people who've mastered all those disciplines; and that's what makes watching WWE wrestling so entertaining to me.

While witnessing Rey Mysterio fly through the air, Kane choking out his latest victim, and Edge retaining the WWE Championship Belt was entertaining enough to keep my full attention, the real fun began when Triple H (who was running the entire TV event) sent one of his security guards out to go get my entire entourage and me. Frank Matassa, his son Frankie Jr, our friend Bobby, and I all smugly walked past the entire floorside crowd and passed behind the magic curtain to the world of the backstage holding area. For those of you who've never ventured to this sacred ground, let me assure you, it's pretty darn cool to hang with the entire cast of the WWE. As you can see by the photos, all of us had a great time chatting with and getting our photos taken with everyone from Triple H, to Edge, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, Kofi Kingston, Kelly Kelly, Dolph Ziggler, and many more. It was a night to be remembered!

While Triple H didn't wrestle on this night, look for him to return to action for Wrestlemania XXVII at the Georgia World Congress Center on March 31st through April 3rd. Also, don't miss his new movie, The Chaperone, due to be released in theaters in the latter part of February.
