Recent criticisms against Dave about his post-Olympia comments on Kevin Levrone has prompted the RXMuscle Founder to respond to the recent feedback from bodybuilding fans and analysts alike.
Levrone's major announcement at the 2016 Pittsburgh Pro, that he would be coming out of retirement to compete at the Olympia, not only gave the bodybuilding world an immediate jolt of excitement, but would serve as arguably the top headline heading into the 2016 Olympia.
During the pre-Olympia build-up, Palumbo maintained a firm outlook that Levrone would not only place well at the Olympia, but that he would in fact end Phil Heath's 5-year reign of Sandows. Palumbo cited Levrone's prowess as a hyper responder, his ability to grow into a show, and the belief that Levrone would not announce his intentions to set foot on the Olympia stage if he didn't see himself presenting a world-class package.
Throughout the pre-Olympia buildup, Palumbo referred to Levrone's progress pics to build his case that by the date of the show, Levrone was going to be prepared to shock the bodybuilding planet.
Ultimately, Levrone would not place at the Olympia, and many bodybuilding analysts (Palumbo included) would go onto explain what they saw out of Levrone's first Olympia appearance in 13 years.
Many thought Palumbo's post-Olympia analysis was harsh, with some going as far as to say that Palumbo insulted the legendary Levrone.
Palumbo, a huge supporter of Levrone, felt the need to respond and set the record straight.
