X-treme 2 X-treme
There is one item no guy or girl in this industry can EVER have enough of....CLOTHING! You see people walking around the Arnold or Olympia expos carrying huge bags stuffed full of tank tops, tshirts, and sweatshirts that they either bought or received for free (after waiting in line for an hour). After reflecting on this industry truth, photographer Mike Yurkovic decided it was time to start his own clothing line....... and X2X was born! “X2X” stands for "X-treme 2 X-treme” since fitness, bodybuilding and strength athletes take their daily workouts from one extreme to the next. In this exclusive interview, Mike fills us in on the inside scoop on this clothing line and he tells us how you can get involved in its future success.
Rumors have been rampant with regard to how 37 year old IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Art Atwood died on September 11, 2011. Some speculated that he drowned in a pool, while others claimed that he passed while sleeping, the result of a drug & alcohol cocktail. According to Jewbacca Singerman’s inside sources, the following is what is currently known:
Ed Nunn avenged his 2nd place, close call, finish behind Toney Freeman at the 2011 Europa Super Show and his 3rd place performance at the 2011 Phoenix Pro (behind Troy Alves and Hide Yamagishi) by winning the 2011 IFBB Phoenix Pro with unanimous first place votes. Nunn packed the most symmetrical physique of the night with arguably the best conditioning of the field. Despite being 40 years old, Nunn seems to be improving at every outing. If this guy adds another 5-7lb in the offseason, watch out for him to do some serious damage in the 2012 season.
On September 11, 2001 I was sleeping in my old childhood bed, back in my dad's house; fresh off a nasty separation from my ex-wife. I figured it couldn't really get much worse than being 32 years old and having to sleep in your old bedroom with the 70's Farrah Fawcett poster still on the wall. That is, until I was awakened by my friend who was repainting my dad's decrepit old kitchen. I remember it like it was yesterday. He screamed up the stairs to me, "Get down here; we're under attack!"
