Prejudging Wrapup - Chicago Pro Wings of Strength

Prejudging is over, if only for one hour before finals as I type this wrap-up with haste!

It started off with FITNESS and it looks like Fiona Harris was sitting pretty in the middle of the first callout with recent pro Chika Aluka to her right and Tiffany Chandler to her left. I can't wait to see the routines this evening at the night show!

Next up was pro figure with a massive lineup in the 30's of competitors! There were several names who had finished high in shows this year… and they did not disappoint! In the first callout was Becike Boddie, Chaya Boone, Wendy Fortino, Cydney Gillon, Laurie Green and Bojana Vasiljevic. Bojana finally cracked the top five and Laurie and Becky have risen to the top 5 yet again this year. More importantly Wendy and Chaya are battling it out with phenomenal physiques for the top spot and the automatic Olympia qualifier!

Moving along to women's physique… it looked to be a two way battle between returning champion Jamie Pinder and Lelia Thompson… who will win this clash? It all depends! They both had phenomenal physiques… will the champion mystique carry Jamie through? Or Will Lelia have enough to pull of a would be upset?

In the women's bodybuilding with no 2x returning champ Monique Jones in the picture the door seemed wide open for someone new to sweep in and take home the automatic Olympia Bid… that person looks to be Rita Bello… with Lisa Geisbrecht and Christine Envall backing her up in 2 and 3. (From my predictions).

The 212 was a highly touted lineup and there were a lot of people pulling for their favorites weeks out from this show! As it turns out, it looks like it is a battle between Charles Dixon, Hide Yamagishi and Tricky Jackson… I'm not super-analyst… but from the positions on stage it appeared that Dixon was in the top spot and Hide and Tricky were bringing up the 2/3 spots.

The open wasn't a slouch lineup either. With Roelly Winklaar coming back to defend his title from last year and going up against a razor sharp Essa Obaid. Not to mention Jojo Ntiforo looking outstanding. An Nguyen and Akim Williams round out the top 5 in the prejudging callouts.

From where I was sitting in the press pit, I would put Roelly in first with Jojo and Essa battling for 2nd and 3rd… it was close, but if i had to pick, I would pick ESSA.
