Hello RX Girls!
I hope everyone is enjoying the competitive season! I can hear the click-clack of clear heels and smell the Jan Tana now. Ahhhh… :)
Speaking of competitions, my husband is going to be competing in his first show on April 20th. Yay! The show will be held in Santa Barbara and hosted by Global Physique. I am so excited and proud of him.He has been putting in work ;)
It has been such a difference being the supporter instead of the competitor in the relationship. It definitely gives me a new appreciation for all of the work my husband had to put in when I was doing show after show.I am so glad we support each other. Having a partner that can help with everything makes competing so much more manageable.
I have also taken a few girls under my wing for the Global Physique show. They have all been working very hard and practicing their poses religiously. They are a great group of girls and I love how hard they work. Soon it will be time for them to shine on stage and show their improvements and achievements. Yay! I’m like a proud mama. Lol ;-)
If anyone will be in the Santa Barbara area on April 20th and would like to show their support for all of the competitors and the sport of Bodybuilding here is the website- www.globalphysique.com The beauty of this sport is that all the competitors work hard no matter what division or gender and it is always a privilege to see hard work acknowledged.
On a side note, life has been a little hectic for me lately so I haven’t had much time to post my RX blogs.Sorry Folks. :) However, I am sure all of you know what I am talking about when I say “life has a tendency to overwhelm at times”.My father passed away and if any of you have ever dealt with the loss of a loved one, my heart goes out to you.;( I did not realize how many things need to be done when someone passes. You have to call and email people, organize things, mail documents, follow up. geesh! You would think they would streamline the process more since everyone is grieving and not really able to process things efficiently through teary-eyes. However, I know he is in a better place and I like to imagine his roaring laugh echoing beyond the pearly gates.
After my father passed I felt frustrated, overwhelmed, and sad. I was watching Rocky VI with my husband(FYI, I am a huge fan of the “Rocky” movies) and I fell in love with the following quote. “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.” – Rocky VI. It reminded me that we are all stronger than we know, we just have to remember it and keep working towards what we truly want.
Until next time Much Love,
