Michelle's Magic Morsel's

A Product Review by RxGirl!

034 copyLet's face it contest prep or not, we all love protein and we all love cookies. Michelle Brent just had the bright idea to put them together in what can only be described as "the moistest most delicious confection" that will ever cross a bodybuilders lips! It is jammed packed with all the essentials to fuel your body through your next workout, while still taking your physique ever so SWEETLY to the top!

Michelle and Her Cookies:

Michelle Brent, originally from the Monterey Peninsula in California, has been an athlete for most of her life since high school and has been bodybuilding for 25 years, since 1985. She has consistently placed top 5 in every show she has done. So it's no question that Michelle has her nutrient needs in check and has considerable credibility at being knowledgeable about the sports nutrition aspect of her cookies.

The idea for her cookie business came to light when she purchased a gym in California called ‘Bayside Fitness'. There she had to be sure to stock her shelves with various supplements and protein products to provide her customers for pre and post workout.

When protein bars and supplements started getting popular in the early 90's Michelle started thinking about coming up with her own recipe and product. She had worked for a specialized bakery in the 1984 that made just cookies, something like a Mrs. Fields, so she did have experience in commercial baking.

In 2000 she decided to get serious about it when companies were starting to push protein cookies on the market. Her biggest issue with the cookies available she found was the taste! To add a good amount of protein in any recipe is very tricky, so she tested it over and over until she felt she had a winning product.

Michelle Says, "My whole purpose was to make a product that is true to it's ingredients and still be a treat with added protein. My cookies are BIG 3 oz sizes that are a great tasting, home style meal replacement, made directly by me!!!"

And so in 2005 her business Michelle's Magic Morsels (www.michellesmagicmorsels.com) was born.

Alright, let's get down to the real reason we all ‘sneakily' clicked on this article...THE COOKIES!

You can get your grubby little paws in the cookie jar via her website. Orders will be shipped within 24 hours after payment is received on in-stock items, excluding weekends. You will receive an e-mail confirming your address & tracking number. Shipping rates are based on the USPS rates quoted at time of checkout as determined by your shipping address.

The pricings are pretty reasonable for what you get. The cost is about $1.80 per cookie (Dozen) or $2.50 per cookie (Half Dozen) with it being $21.50 per Dozen or $15.00 per Half Dozen. Now consider how many times you've been in a jam and bought a $6 protein bar at the gym, the price is pretty cheap!!!

The amount of flavors to choose from can get a little overwhelming, especially if you're on a keto diet like myself. Luckily Michelle provides an ‘Assorted Mixed Protein Cookie' option just to play it safe.

Current Flavors Available Are:

Ok, here is what we all want to know...WHAT IS IN THESE HEAVENLY DELIGHTS!?

What is Michelle is up to now and what does she hope to do with the cookie biz:

MichelleStagePicMichelle now resides in Newington, CT. After several tries over the past 20 years, Michelle is looking once again for that elusive pro card this year at the Masters Nationals in July. For her, since she's still a small business, the orders need to be put on hold until contest prep is over; but business will resume again in August with a special new product to debut!!! It's a new muffin recipe called "Morning Glory" which has tons of stuff packed into it such as: applesauce, oats, raisin, crasins, shredded carrots, and walnuts, which are optional.

I personally can't wait for THAT to hit the market!

Michelle processes about 25-35 orders per month, and although she does internet orders, gyms, and local nutrition stores; she still is on the fence about taking her business any larger. She says, "I would like to keep it personal so my product stays true!"

Well, as long as the cookies stay available, delicious, and affordable...I don't think anyone will be complaining anytime soon!

Thanks again Michelle for putting your sweet talent to work!

I can't wait to get more!
