When it comes to working out, it seems like I run into many people that are trying the next quick program or magazine workout. While magazine workouts may be ok from time to time, you really have to step back and see where you are in your fitness journey and where want to go. Next, visualize yourself achieving where you want to be and then take that INTENSITY with you into the gym.
INTENSITY is where I find most people lack in the gym. Whether it be from too much socializing, taking too much time in between sets, or just lacking proper form for the sacrifice of "looking" cool lifting heavier weight. If you are serious about your progress, you've got to focus on every rep, every set…period. I know even I am guilty of having our days of just not wanting to hit the gym and our energy levels are at an all time low (especially when getting closer and closer to a show) etc but this is when you've got to pull that certain something from deep within you. You've got to realize that the end result from hard work is more gratifying than any quick program or "easy way out" or quitting. Remember, quitters never win and winners never quit!!! So get in the gym and get INTENSE!
