If you’re a fitness competitor or someone who’s taken their body to a place most haven’t, then you know the commitment and focus it takes to get “cut.” Sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears are all part of the process. But, does it mean you can’t have social life while dialing it in?
When I started my own fitness journey I had very high goals and in order to get there I had to sacrifice a lot. It was hard work, full-time job, following a strict diet to a T, being a father, and repeating day after day after day. I found myself really inactive outside of that and un-social. It was weighing on me. I did create the body that I wanted, but why would I ever want to live my life like this full time? Life has so much to offer and I want to be able to take it all in! So I asked myself, what if I could create the body I wanted while still enjoying my life to the fullest? That’s what I really wanted. I had to make some adjustments.
Guys if you can be that disciplined and determined with your diet and training in the privacy of your homes and achieve your goals, there is no reason why you can’t go to Vegas for a weekend and party down with friends. The deal is in moderation
Wanna know how? You need to know YOUR body and what you can and can’t do. Don’t stack DAY’S on top of DAY’S! But the occasional weekend or day here and there can work, if you know your body. To accomplish this, set up a plan for your social time and follow it. You’d be surprised at how much fun you can have while still nailing your fitness goals.
The highest I’ve ever placed in a fitness completion was right after the weekend in Newport Beach, partying ALL weekend long with my friends.
