If I told you that I could tell you very simply the key to unlocking your ultimate potential, making everlasting progress, being successful, and finding happiness; would you wanna know?
Seriously… Take a few seconds to think about what I just said; most everyone’s reaction would be an immediate “YES!” Well, that is all fine and great, but honestly, we all already have most of the answers to just about everything that we wish to do and accomplish, so much so in fact that often times we will keep searching and/or asking questions of others until they give us validation to what we wanted to hear! Amazing how that works and we have ALL done it. When someone tells you what you don’t want to hear, many times we will just keep searching until we receive the answer that we already had in our minds! Hmmm…
Rather hard to gain any more knowledge when we are already full with everything that we think we need. Having an open mind allows us all to grow from all of the situations that we incur along the way, not just the ones that we initially wanted or thought to be what we needed. Whenever we become set in our ways we lose out on all that is around us, certainly not everything works for everybody, but a lot of things have benefits that we could reap if we simply tried them! This is again where the balance that I have spoken about many times comes into play; balance is not being so far one way that you neglect the other sides. Balance, like life is a very dynamic, multi-dimensional thing, always fluctuating and unless we are able to change and adapt with these fluctuations, we will ultimately find ourselves out of balance!
So often times in life we ask questions to which we already have the answers. Sometimes we are just looking to be told what we want to hear and other times we don’t even realize that we have already answered our own questions. I cannot even tell you how many times someone comes to me with something and after listening, my answer starts off with, “it appears that you have already answered your question.” Often times people look back puzzled and not even realizing that they just did exactly that, after some explaining it becomes quite obvious that they had the answer all along. Sure, we are all human and having a sounding board and human interaction is vital to our existence, but we should also be aware of our own thoughts and views. The worst case of this and often times the hardest to get over is the aspect of denial or not accepting responsibility; too many are quick to blame their own internal struggles on external circumstances, we will never progress and find happiness until we look within. This can be very difficult to explain to others, because most will simply discount it and pass it off, as it is just someone else’s fault. Think of all the people that you have come across that go from person or person or place to place for whatever reason, but the common denominator is always the individual who has yet to take personal ownership and accountability. Hmmm... Amazing how that works.
This certainly doesn’t come easy, but just as many of the right choices aren’t easy in life, but that is why the minority overpowers the majority. We all can benefit from spending time on personal reflection and becoming the masters of ourselves and just where we want our lives to go. It isn’t up to someone else, it isn’t because of our circumstances, it is up to us and the sooner we all realize this one very simple truth, the better off we all will be!
If I told you that I could tell you very simply the key to unlocking your ultimate potential, making everlasting progress, being successful, and finding happiness; would you wanna know? Honestly it doesn’t matter what I or anyone else tells you, because we all have had the answers all along. I would answer all of your questions, but then again; you already know the answers…
“The true secret of life lies within us all, just as we are all different, all of our secrets are different. Deep down we all know the answers and just what we need, stop searching for external answers and look within; the shortest distance to finding happiness is the distance between our minds and our hearts.”
