I rode my bike through a horrible cold wind that blew sand into my face the whole way making visibility difficult. I was going to meet Ofer Samra at the gym at 1 pm. When training me yesterday Ofer had asked me for a favour. You see he is an artist and does beautiful oil paintings in his spare time. He wanted to take some photos of me to use for inspiration in his artworks. I was happy to oblige. I said hello to a few friends around the gym before I met Ofer and we got started. We started off out the back of the gym where they have an open area with some boxing equipment. Ofer asked me to put some boxing gloves on and he took some pictures of me leaning on the bags as if I had just done a hard workout and I was tired.
Afterwards we drove out to find a mechanic to take some more photos. On the way we discussed how I could use my physique to create a career and make money. Ofer thought I should think about trying to get into acting, commercials and print work. At the moment I train hard for myself and for competition but haven’t given too much thought to my physique career wise. He gave me a good few things to think about in terms of forging a career in the fitness and entertainment industry.
Eventually we found a garage and asked the manager if it would be ok if we could take some photos. She said it would be fine and pointed us out to the back of the property. Out the back were a whole bunch of old tires. Ofer picked the most rugged looking tires he could find and asked me to hold them at my sides with my body in various positions. He made the shots look as if I were in motion. Afterwards he showed me the pictures and they seemed to have turned out great. Hopefully they will serve as some inspiration for his artworks.
Ofer dropped me off back at Gold’s around 2.30 pm. After riding home through that gastly wind again, I ate a meal and headed back to the gym at 3.30 pm. I was ready for a huge leg session that would involve quads, hamstrings, calves and inner thighs. It was a great workout leaving me hobbling by the time I finished, and here it is!
