One of the biggest challenges for anyone looking to Live The Fitness Lifestyle is what to eat? This is also where some of the biggest misconceptions lie, the biggest being that in order for you to get results what you eat can’t be enjoyable! Let me tell you, that couldn’t be further from the truth, in reality your Eating Plan should include a lot of variety and work with your Life and NOT against it! This certainly includes Loving what you Eat and how you Look and Feel because of it!
My Largest Goal in all that I do related to Fitness is to try and break people out of the “Box” that they or society has placed them in! This includes EATING! So often times I hear the same old items being eaten by so many, such as Chicken, Brown Rice, and Broccoli… That doesn’t mean that this isn’t a great meal that will produce results, but without variety and taste, it will only produce results for so long! Why only results for so long? Well... Everyone has a breaking point and when you reach it and just say that you are done, all of your results and hard work will be for nothing! Sooo… The True Goal is too NEVER reach this point and by doing that, you never reach stagnation, and by never reaching stagnation the RESULTS will continue!
What I have created and enjoyed doing is putting together simple, yet satisfying meals that are specifically meant to enhance your Fitness Lifestyle and provide people with ideas! I can assure you that really all I do is open my fridge and look at the variety of ingredients that I have, get a little creative to make it work in my meal plan, arrange it nicely on a plate, and take a picture with my camera phone! That’s it, so very simple, yet it provides unlimited ideas and satisfaction! There are a lot of digestive enzymes that begin to be produced from the very instance we see something that we like! So, make it look nice!
A simple way to add regular variety to any Eating Plan is to simply rotate the type of foods you get each time that you go to the store! One trip you could get Chicken, then Tilapia, then Cod, then Turkey, etc… Or get Sweet Potatoes, then Brown Rice, then Oatmeal, then Quinoa, etc… Or get Whole Eggs, then Lean Ground Beef, then Eye of Round, then Salmon, etc… Or get Broccoli, then Green Beans, then Asparagus, then Spinach, etc… I hope you are getting the idea, because just from the items I have listed here there is enough variety to literally make hundreds of different combinations!
I wanted to write this as an Article to stimulate a bit of thinking outside of the “Box” that so many of us are in within the Fitness Industry and I hope that it does just that, gets you thinking! I most certainly will be providing a lot more insight on this, but for now… Get CREATIVE and keep Living and Loving what you do and EAT, I’m gonna go make some Eggs, or maybe Bison, or Hmmm… :)
