Large companies and brands understand the importance of consistency in the look of their materials. This could include items such as the location of logo placement on advertisements, to the colors used on a website and more. This, over time, allows their consumers to know what to expect which holds a lot of value. Expectations when they see a certain color or hear a certain slogan can mean everything to a small or growing company by embedding it in the consumers mind. Expectations as a result of consistency lead to expectations of quality. This is a lesson you can learn from watching the big companies.
With that in mind, consider the following questions:
What does your website look like?
Does it look like your business card?
Does your website and business card look like the tri-fold brochure you have in your fitness studio?
Does it look like the composite card you are sending out?
This is not a suggestion that you should have very dull and streamlined marketing materials. Instead, it is just to remind you to take time to reflect and think about how you can better sync together all of your marketing materials to give them a bit more consistency. Consistency in color, in design style, in logo placement, and so on. The more consistency you have in ALL of your materials the greater the penetration of each.
Happy marketing!
