It's on! Jay Cutler has officially hired 'The Technician' Chris Aceto as Jay attempts to make history and win back his crown as Mr Olympia. This startling news comes only 9 weeks from the big event. According to Chris, the merger shouldn't come as a total surprise. “Jay started bodybuilding with me & I was writing diets for him when no one knew who he was 21 years ago. I was his coach when he shocked the world and started mowing down IFBB superstars like Shawn Ray, Paul Dillet, Chris Cormier and Kevin Levrone. When Jay laid down the gauntlet with Coleman in 2001 in the greatest mano-a-mano pose down I ever witnessed, I was the one who predicted it the night before. I told Jay, "You are winning the Olympia tomorrow."
"As you can see, there's a long history of success there and we're trying to rekindle that formula”
Who approached Who? Aceto reports “Well it was Jay's idea. He had been looking at pictures from when we were a team and said he felt he needed that super full look in order to get the maximum out of his body. Jay told me his contest prep kind of crashed and burned both in 2010 and 2011, and as the show approached he wanted to correct those big mistakes. He started emailing me and things started rolling from there. When the he brought up the possibility of working with me I felt I might have my hands too full working with so many other guys in the Mr Olympia. I thought about it for a day or so, then asked Dave Palumbo what he thought. Dave confirmed my initial gut feeling which was to to jump in and work with Jay again. I picked up the phone, called Jay and told him I was ready."
I did feel that I needed to test Jay before I made the commitment. I asked him, "Are you ready to give it your all, I mean your all-all, every fiber of your being?” I couldn't finish the sentence fast enough before Jay was cutting in “Yes, Chris. Yes. Yes. The answer is yes. I am ready and I am going to do what I have always done as a professional. I am going to continue to work my ass off, harder then anyone else and people are going to be in for a surprise come Olympia day."
