Atlantic City picked four of a kind this morning in the Men's IFBB Pro bodybuilding prejudging. Right out of the gate it was clear that the top row was going to be Troy Alves, Melvin Anthony, Gustavo Badel and Hide Yamagishi. After several rounds of callouts, the same four ended up in the all-telling final callout. Both Gustavo and Troy brought their A-game. Troy was in the shape of his life and Gustavo, while still lacking in the leg department, got a handle on his run-away midsection and brought in some serious conditioning. Hide has been a tad crisper in the past, but was still a top dog by any definition. I'm a little disappointed with Melvin. He was holding water and was not as tight and dry as he needs to be to dominate shows. In my mind the best balance between muscle and conditioning is Gustavo. Based on the fact that condition rules the day, the battle is probably going to be between Gustavo and Troy.
Open fitness had 33 incredible women in the class, with several cross overs in from last night's Masters division. For me, it's way too close to call. Check out the video prejudging wrap up and listen to Sean, Dave and I argue over it!
