I've always said, "Bodybuilding lacks smack talk!" That statement was never more true until Ben White came along. Now we have plenty. His latest rant involves statements made last night on a Heavy Muscle Radio special report. Our guest, Stan Efferding, was lamenting his exclusion from the upcoming World's Strongest Pro Bodybuilder lift-off between Johnnie Jackson and Ben White on Olympia Weekend. Efferding's rather extemporaneous diatribe revolved around the fact that he is, as far as official powerlifting totals go, the world's strongest pro bodybuilder. According to Efferding, the idea of holding a contest for that title without including him is just simply outrageous. As far as Efferding is concerned, he already owns that title based on the fact that he's an IFBB Pro bodybuilder (he earned his pro card at the 2009 NPC Masters Nationals) and his officially-judged raw bench and deadlift totals easily exceed those of Johnnie Jackson and Ben White's. In Efferding's mind, he's the de facto holder of the title he has been barred from defending.

Well, tonight, while I was busy putting together my dining room set that I had to dismantle in order to move it to NY, Dave Palumbo called and said, "Drop what you're doing and get over to the studio because Ben White just called and he's in rare form after listening to Efferding on HMR". Dave told Ben to save the rant and call back in 15 min in order to give me enough time to get over there so we could record his comments. Well, I don't know what Ben was smoking, but whatever it was, no written words could possibly do justice to what he he was saying about Efferding and Johnnie Jackson. But I will say this, it's on! After listening to what "The Showstopper" has to say, you'll have to invent something other than Donkey Kong. Oh, and one more thing, bring money! Ben ain't lifting for free!
