Have a safe and fun holiday season people.
During the busy holiday season workouts can keep you energized and help eliminate all that stress as well as keep you aware of your eating habits throughout all those holiday parties. Follow these easy strategies and avoid holiday weight gain.
Keep your workouts short but daily.
Nothing beats daily fat burning especially when you do it first thing in the morning. Focusing on 20-30 minutes of daily activity boosts your metabolism, promotes better eating habits, and reduces stress; which in turn reduces fat storage.
Supplement your workouts with vitamins, immune system support and protein.
All that decorating, cooking, shopping, work, and travel is stressful and lowers your immune system. A lower immune system means your body burns less fat. Taking a multi-vitamin, and extra protein throughout the day will help increase you immune support.
DRINK Your WATER PEOPLE! Stay properly hydrated.
It's important to stay hydrated. If you aren't feeling 100% and you're not exactly sick you might have a hydration problem. Drink your water and this helps your body burn fat.
Make a list
Not a list to Santa but a list of all the positive benefits exercising has on your life. From giving you more energy; to reducing your health ailments and beyond. Post it somewhere that you will see it regularly and it can serve as a reminder to you as to why you need to workout.
Don't over schedule yourself.
This will lead to stress, which can lead to your body storing calories and also to overeating.
Shop online.
What's shopping online have to do with fitness? This will enable you to save time that you can instead use the hours you would spend driving for a quick workout.
Don't go crazy!
Don't give yourself permission to go crazy every day during the holiday season.
Share your holiday health and fitness goals with your friends and family. If they understand your desire to maintain healthy eating habits during the festive season, hopefully feelings won't be hurt when you pass on one of their high-calorie holiday treats.
