Although we’re approaching the close of what’s been an eventful 2023 contest season, the 2024 Arnold Classic is just 16 weeks away which means that, for rising IFBB Pro League star, Martin Fitzwater, and the handful of athletes who are planning to make the trek out to Columbus, Ohio to compete a chance to compete for one of the most prestigious titles in the sport, now is the time to start dialing in the first phase of their contest prep.

Fitzwater, who last competed at the 2022 Arnold UK, where he placed 4th, took the entire 2023 contest season off to focus on quality size, has shown flashes of being a future top ten Olympia challenger during hit limited time on the pro stage – with his best overall performance coming at the 2022 Texas Pro, where he finished in the runner-up spot at show that’s most notable for bodybuilding fans as being Andrew Jacked’s coming out party.
In Fitzwater’s first round of progress pictures, which he released via Instagram this week, it appears that Martin put his extended time off to good use; as he showcased significant new size gains, and impressive early prep conditioning, in advanced of what many believe will be a pivotal year for the 3rd year pro.

The official roster for the 2024 Arnold Classic still won’t be released for several weeks. However, in recent years the unofficial kickoff to the contest season has been a great launch point for athletes who’ve gone on to find a tremendous amount of success in the pro league. If Martin can follow suit, and capitalize on the opportunity, it might pave the way for him to eventually secure a long awaited Olympia qualification.
