The Ab Series: V-Up

 Join us in this episode of the "Ab Series."  Today we are looking at an excellent exercise to help tone those abs: The V-Up.

Instructions: Sit lengthwise on the end of a bench so that your legs hang off the edge.  Grasp the sides of the bench with your hands for stability.  Your start position will be with your feet together and about 6 inches from the floor. Keeping your abdominals tight, bring your legs towards the ceiling with knees straight to about a 90 degree angle at the hip so that your body forms a "V".  Extend legs back down so that feet are close to the floor without touching.  Repeat for 15 to 20 repetitions and perform 4 sets, resting 30 to 60 seconds between sets.
