Spotlight On IFBB Womens Physique Pro: Kristy Enos

Category you compete in: 412Women's Physique

Date of birth: Dec 16th

Hometown: Morgan Hill, Ca

Career: Armed Guard, looking to go back to being a Police Officer.

If you could change into a superhero for a day who would you be and why?

She-Hulk. She's strong and beautiful! She-Hulk's body is superhumanly durable and nearly impervious to force, pain, and disease. Her skin can withstand extremes temperatures, as well as tremendous stresses and impacts without puncture wounds or lacerations. Her enhanced physiology renders her immune to all terrestrial diseases. She-Hulk also possesses a healing factor, which enabled her to completely recover, within minutes, this being said I would join the US Military and be there deadest weapon and help fight terrorist and other US threats. I would also help anyone if there was a need of a "hero" at the moment.

What made you begin dedicating your lifestyle to this sport?

Well I've always worked out but in 2009 I got into a really bad car accident. Dr's didn't know if I would be able to walk again or be the same. I refuse to believe that. That is when I realized my body was so fragile that I needed to take diet/training more serious to build my body strong enough to withstand a car accident or heaven forbid something worse. As I saw my body change over the next few months/yrs I realized I could build the body I always wanted that God didn't give me but gave me the ability to create what I desire. So that is it begun and where this has lead me.

What appro237ach do you take to dieting...carb cycle..keto?

It honestly varies on how lean I stay on my off season. Last yr was 0-25 grams of carbs per day. Massive amounts of cardio...This yr was 75 grams w/a little less cardio than last yr but just as brutal! It varies yr by yr.

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about competing?

That everyone is on steroids and they didnt work hard to get there cuz of the drugs they took.

What is your most embarassing childhood memory?

I was about 8 yrs old on my brothers bike at school...I slipped on the petal and landed on the center bar...hurting my "u know what" so I went to the bathroom to take a look at it and while I was examining it, I forgot to lock the door and the girls at the school were standing there at the door looking at me like I was molesting myself, lol. So embarrassing!

What is the biggest lesson you have learned about YOURSELF during your contest prep?

That when I'm hungry I shouldn't be around anyone! I get really cranky! And I'm the most mentally strong person I ever met.

Who do you look up and admire and why?

Frank McGrath. He's a personal friend of mine. I admire his determination, his heart, his drive and how amazing he transformed his body. He's one of the most humble people I know. He makes me want to become a better person.
