Another Good Man Down: Bros vs Pros Claims Another!

I never thought that our Bros vs Pros challenge could be any more of an affront to those competing than it was to IFBB Pro Mike Liberatore's ego when a regular bro-- our own Jeff the Producer-- decimated his rep total curling an 80 pound dumbbell.  I was proved wrong during Bros vs Pros II when, on his 13th rep of benching 405, Maurice Guida threw the bar back on the pegs and bolted out of the lifting area like he had just stuck his whole arm in a bee hive.  Thanks to Maurice's quick thinking, he only suffered a minor pec tear.  After that happened, I thought to myself, damn, this shit is for real.

Well, the lure of easy money once again proved it's very strong appeal.  Yesterday, while training for the upcoming BSN Bros vs Pros IV Deadlift Challenge, our very own Big Sean Andros-- the representative "bro"--  felt a little something go "snap, crackle, pop" in the back of his leg. It was big enough for the dude who never complains nor shows a hint of emotion to make the unlikely official statement, "It fucking hurts."  Coming from Sean, that's like Smokey the Bear looking into a raging 500,000 acre forest fire and saying, "I think I smell a little smoke."

When pressed for details and for the final word on whether he would need to pull out of the competition, Sean had this to say: "I had a small tear in my left hamstring two weeks ago, but it was healing quickly.  I was able to train legs last week and deadlift during my back workout.  There was some pain, but it didn't seem to be getting any worse. I figured I'd be fine in another two weeks for the competition.  I deadlifted over the weekend to test it out before telling Dave yes [that I would fill the role of the ‘Bro'] and it was ok.  Then, last night, during the second set of my workout (t-bar rows) as I hit my top weight, my hamstring made a few small pops.  It hurt so bad, I almost blacked out for a second. Then I just tried to walk it off.  It's several hours later now and it's still tender as hell. My limp is pretty nasty, but I hope to Snoop Dogg it up by tomorrow.  So I'm officially bowing out as the Bro and relinquishing my chance to steal the money from The Showstopper Ben White.  In the event that my miraculous healing powers repair the damage, I'll step up and pull on June 26."

The good news is that Sean is practically invincible, so I wouldn't count him totally out; the bad news is that we really do need to fill his "bro" slot in the upcoming competition. We welcome all suggestions.  In the mean time, I want to wish Sean Godspeed and a quick recovery and we hope to
