What gives someone the right to consider themselves a successful fitness model or personality in the industry? Is it the amount of covers one can land because of their physique?  Could it be how many sponsors they are able to grab to help support them? Or is it the amount of money one can make between different modeling/ fitness gigs?

Everyone will tell you something different, but if there is one thing that is hard to disagree with, it’s the ability to promote and market yourself to others.  Social media has begun to play a huge role in self marketing as an athlete, competitor, fitness model or personality in the Industry. These days, you don't need a modeling agency to help promote you, or a company to take you on as a sponsored athlete in order for you to be seen in the industry.

Someone who once couunnamed(1)ld have been just an average fit person, now has the ability to transform themselves into a “Social Media Fitness Star!”  If you put in the time, the effort, and truly have a passion for fitness, you can change yourself from just a face with a body, to a bona fide personality – someone able to inspire and motivate others on their own fitness journey!

Kyle Timothy Heinz, age 21, and hailing from Michigan, is proof that if you put in the time, effort, hard work in the gym AND the kitchen, and use social media as a tool to self-promote, you can turn your average health/fit lifestyle into a network that reaches out to endless amounts of people who want to take the time out to follow your journey.

Q: Tell me about your competitive history.

A: I've competed twice in my life. The first experience I had was one of my good friends jokingly stating we should do a show because we were those average guys at the gym that had a decent physique. Sure enough my friends and I find ourselves at our first show with obviously a minimal amount of knowledge from the lack of spray trans, no dieting or stage practice was involved and we had no idea about needing to purchase a license.

When all was said and done we left with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies! After that a third friend and I did a show for Central States in Grand Rapids, Michigan and I surprisingly took 5th place!

Needless to say weight training started my entire fitness journey and I've dropped all of that because I did not find it challenging in any way. I've recently taken up strictly calisthenics (body weight training) into my lifestyle along with nutrition. I will in the near future compete in battle of the bars in California to further fill my addiction.

Q: When did you get started on your fitness career/journey? What made you want to become more than just the average person living a healthy and fit lifestyle?

A: I began weight training about four years ago and started my passion of calisthenics a year ago. After getting a taste of this type of training it's an addiction to learn new movements every day.

Q: Being that you have a loyal social media following, what is some advice that you would offer someone wanting to increase their popularity in the Fitness industry? What tips can you give someone to help them build their following as well?

A: To most it's a popularity contest and they go as far as even buyunnamed(2)ing their followers. My only words of advice are popularity does not make you a stronger person. The hard work, sweat and the thirst to grow stronger is your foundation to molding a better you. When people see your passion and dedication it sparks an interest within them and there is nothing better than being an inspiration to another person. This trumps any feeling, especially popularity.

Q: Do you consider this as your part/full time job or a hobby?

A: This is my everyday life, not a hobby but a lifestyle I have chosen to take on.

Q: There are many people that motivate and are inspired by you. How does that make you feel knowing that there are people who take the time to see what you are doing day to day?

A: It's a never ending chain. Everyone has someone that they can learn from in many ways. I have my own inspirations that I look up to especially to keep me on my toes and push that much harder day to day. It's an amazing feeling that everyone in the fitness life style is there for one another sharing information ideas and facts as a family, helping each individual grow stronger no matter what level they are on.

Q: Is there anyone who has motivated or inspired you to become the person you are today?

A: Yes, my friends and family have been my main motivation.

Q: How does your family feel about your lifestyle? What would you say to someone whose family does not support their lifestyle?

A: My family supports my lifestyle 100%. There isn't much more to say other than to do what you love!

Q: Of all the social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), what do you think is the most effective to use in order to market yourself in this industry?

A: Instagram.

Q: What is your diet lunnamedike? Do you eat clean all year round?

A: I eat clean all year round. Nutrition is a lot more important than most think.

Q: What is your favorite cheat meal? How do you control yourself from going overboard when you decide to treat yourself?

A: My cheat meals consist of an unearthly ratio of peanut butter to Honeycrisp apples!

Q: Do you take any supplements? What do you think is one of the most important supplements someone should take who is training constantly?

A: I do not take any supplements and nutrition is key.

Q: What’s your social media/contact information?

A: Instagram @naturalphysique
