For awhile in the late 90’s to early 2000’s Craig Titus and I were training partners. He was always a great friend and he really pushed me in the weight room. Craig had focus in the gym like nobody’s business. He was like me when we trained; always pushing the limits. I’ll go on record right now and declare that nobody at Gold’s Gym Venice trained as hard as me back in the day. I just loved pushing the pain barriers and seeing how much I could handle. Sometimes, I could have pulled back but that’s what made it so great. And that’s what made Craig a great training partner. We shared that same mindset.

Rumors have been rampant with regard to how 37 year old IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Art Atwood died on September 11, 2011. Some speculated that he drowned in a pool, while others claimed that he passed while sleeping, the result of a drug & alcohol cocktail. Ed Nunn avenged his 2nd place, close call, finish behind Toney Freeman at the 2011 Europa Super Show and his 3rd place performance at the 2011 Phoenix Pro (behind Troy Alves and Hide Yamagishi) by winning the 2011 IFBB Phoenix Pro with unanimous first place votes. Nunn packed the most symmetrical physique of the night with arguably the best conditioning of the field. Despite being 40 years old, Nunn seems to be improving at every outing. If this guy adds another 5-7lb in the offseason, watch out for him to do some serious damage in the 2012 season.
On September 11, 2001 I was sleeping in my old childhood bed, back in my dad's house; fresh off a nasty separation from my ex-wife. I figured it couldn't really get much worse than being 32 years old and having to sleep in your old bedroom with the 70's Farrah Fawcett poster still on the wall. That is, until I was awakened by my friend who was repainting my dad's decrepit old kitchen. I remember it like it was yesterday. He screamed up the stairs to me, "Get down here; we're under attack!"
